This is a very nice shot!! I love the clarity. I also really like the pic being black and white except the orange. The orange stands out so nicely. Nice shot for just seeing your brother holding an orange and just feeling like taking a pic. Very COOL!!! Love the vitamin C!!
Thanks. I took this picture when I hadn't had my camera for very long... but it still turned out pretty good. I went through a stage where i desaturated every colour, but one in particular. In this case, orange.
How did I make the hand black and white, and the orange coloured? Well, I cheated. Haha, I used photoshop. The original picture was fully coloured, and I just selected the orange and desaturated everything else. It's pretty easy to do. I've done it in quite a few pictures. Thanks for the comment . Now I'm off to take a look at your gallery.
Thanks. Yeah, I just wanted to have fun. Before I even took the picture, I knew exactly what I wanted, and it's exactly what I got. That's something I was never able to do with my old camera. Actually, it's not even my old camera. I know more now than I ever did. I'm taking my photography more seriously. I just want to have more of an understanding, you know? Getting the new camera just gave me a boost. Aaaannnyyways, I'm glad you liked it, man. You always have great and useful things to say about my work .
I'm really wondering if it would not be a good thing for you to try film photography. You can find some great little rangefinders or slr on eBay for almost nothing and it's a really good school to fully understand what you really do with your camera.
Yeah, it's very true. It's my next step... To buy a film SLR camera. Right now though, I couldn't be able to afford one. I want to understand all sides of photography. I also want to learn how to use a darkroom.
ACK! BLINDING ORANGE!
Ahhhhh, that's so good. I was just talking to my friend about your crazy B&W with colour. (he said 'uh huh' and started moving towards the door, but that's not the point!)
Yay, it makes me really happy. Favourite for you!
Yeah, I did everything manually. I just fooled around until I got the look I wanted. I ended up with about 40 shots because I got this one. Yeah, if you look through my gallery, a lot of my shots aren't exactly complex. Well, not all of them, lol. I try my best to bring up ideas through simple everyday objects.
Anyways, I'm glad you liked this shot . Thank you very much for the comment.
